Its high bandwidth frequency response makes it top notch for music or discourse. Even in this mode, you'll still experience its great active noise reduction (ANR), which is also extremely necessary when the cockpit gets loud. The ANR works even without the long-lasting rechargeable battery it runs on, and its limited speaker output protects your hearing no matter what you're using it for. Taking it from normal headphone use to pilot operation is easy; simply connect the twin aviation jacks with the boom microphone. This versatile design also allows you to upgrade your Telex Ascend over time, and lets you change it between a two-plug version (business or commercial jet) and a single-plug headset (Airbus).
